The Eastern Algarve coastline, almost to the Spanish border, is largely
lined by stretches of tidal marshlands which are an integral part of the
Ria Formosa National Park, a conservation area of raw beauty and of great
ecological importance to the region.
DAY 1
Arrive in the Algarve, be welcomed by our ApardoGolf representative who
will help you with your luggage and transfer to your hotel. The Monte
do Casal, a member of “The Small Luxury Hotels of the World” is a
beautiful old 18th century country house hotel which offers privacy,
comfort, personal service and a first class dining experience with a
very special atmosphere.
DAY 2
Today play Benamor, laid out mainly on undulating land, the course offers
lovely views both to the Atlantic Ocean and the hills of the Serra do
Caldeirão to the North. Player’s accuracy is particularly called upon by
the architect’s retention of many of the old olive trees; making the
course a worthwhile challenge and a pleasant experience. |

DAY 3
Play Golf on Quinta da Ria, designed by Rocky Roquemore and set in the
spectacular location of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, in Eastern Algarve
with stunning views of the sea and mountains, the Par 72, comprising two
loops of 9 holes, each with two Par 5’s, five Par 4’s and two Par 3’s, and
a total length of 6016 metres.
DAY 4
Sightseeing Suggestion: Tavira is one
of the most attractive towns in the Algarve and its origins date back to
around 2,000 BC. In the 17th Century the port was of considerable
importance, shipping produce such as salt, dried fish and wine from the
far East. Like most of the Algarve its buildings were virtually all
destroyed by the great earthquake of 1755.
DAY 5
Play the magnificent new Monte Rei, the Jack Nicklaus Signature course
offers everything a player could wish for; this breathtaking golf
experience is a golfing creation full of enjoyment and rated by us amongst
the best courses in Europe.DAY 6
Today play Quinta de Cima, host to a 2008 Ladies European LPGA event, the
inland course part of the 36 hole complex shared with Quinta da Ria and
set in the delightful Ria Formosa National Park near the beautiful fishing
town of Tavira.
